Yeap…tts me again. Kinda free rite now so while there is time felt lyk writin of wat i went through in OBS. Hehe. First thing first, when u ar there u completely lost track of time( tt is the purpose i go 4 the camp anywae…to lose track of time). U dun brin a watch n u wont want to either.I am one of those few deemed to be "lucky" uns 2 b the residential group(actuali vryone said tt). Now i shall tell u ( reenact if possible) my experience(more lyk ordeal i call it) in the serene and secluded but inhabited island, Pulau Ubin.My first day was fine. Upon reachin the Camp 1 area…we had tis "marvellous" and long talk by the course director. It was okie actuali. Then, we put our backs at the store of our camp( there is 14 pp in my team btw n one of them is a double-Y chromosome creature) and ate lunch..Food was okie…no comments but the hostel food is certainly better.( Yeap auntie…I hope u ar readin tis now.hehe maybe can get more food nxt time i eat). We had a few ‘engagin’ activities later involvin faith and heights n the belayin system.Oh, b4 i 4get, my instructor is a funny guy. He is MR. Lum. When askin him abt the nxt activity..he wud reply" its 4 me to noe n 4 u to find out"( damn cheesy rite).then when we asked why…he wud start with his rendition of "why is the sky blue, why is the graz green and why is Lum so hensem n dashin"…damn lame lah.we soon had enuf of tis and continued 4 him aft the graz thingy wif why is Lum so lame.Anudder of his remarks is when we ask him how 2 do sumtin n he wud reply "USUALLY ar, i use both of my hands 2 do it." damn lame lah.But then he is v gud to us. Yeap…there u go Mr Lum..I am praisin u now.OKIE..now vrytin bout OBS is fine but where does the ordeal come in??? HEHE..it is our kayaking expedition.We did not circle the whole island but instead traverse through in a river and cut up north…suppose to be 6 km onli.we left ard noon and was prognosticated to reach ard 6.30pm.but on tt fateful n miserable day…(so melodramatic).Nvrm.I shall tell fr the start.We hav to kayak at the sea 4 a while first b4 enterin into a river..our insstructor was wif us but then he told us if we took the wrong turn they wud juz folow…usin the term they ar tourist we ar the tour guide.so when we ar in the river liao..there wil b 2 obstacles, namely the Swiss gate..more lyk a bridge lah and the mud bank.so when we reached the swiss gate…we muz transport a total of 21 kayaks to the opp side as the river is blocked lor..it is actuali a mangrove swamp..it was high tide tt time.we managed to transport the kayaks to the other side n was makin gud time..then we continued our journey n tis is wh comes the trouble…we took the wrong turn and when we went kinda deep in liao…then onli we realised we went wrong way..haiz.when wanted to reverse out..the tide drops…and we got beached at the swamp.went out of kayak to push . Imagine!! the mud went up to waist level…how to move man…actuali got summore a lot of things lah…. and if i were to continue it wud nvr end..heehee.spare u all the trouble. The most important ting now is we ar save, it is over and tt is all.PHEW!!!.Yeap….write 2 much liao..adios
